London bartender Salvatore Calabrese didn't need gimmicks to create the most expensive cocktail ever served: instead of jacking up the price by adorning it with a jewel-encrusted glass charm or a platinum swizzle stick, Calabrese merely served really old, really rare booze. Salvatore's Legacy, as he calls it, costs £5,500 a glass (US $8,835) and according to Spirits Business it's made with 1788 Clos de Griffier Vieux Cognac, 1770 Kummel Liqueur, 1860 Dubb Orange Curacao and early 20th century Angostura Bitters. Guinness officials were on hand to verify its status as the priciest cocktail; it is also apparently the world's oldest cocktail. Watch a clip of Calabrese mixing up the ancient pricey drink at London's Playboy Club below.
