Ex-NYT critic Sam Sifton gives Food Republic an interview because he has a Thanksgiving cookbook coming out. When asked if he misses reviewing restaurants, Sifton said: "I miss my byline and I do miss some parts of being in restaurants every night. I don't miss scratchy wigs and itchy dresses and high heels and the whole kabuki of being The Times critic. And I do love being a regular in restaurants that I could never be when I wasn't the critic." [FR]
