Chicago restaurant critic David Tamarkin on the purpose of reviewing restaurants: "When you review [an expensive restaurant] the price does become a major factor, because the only thing keeping restaurant criticism from being the most inane, obnoxious form of journalism on Earth is that it's a form of consumer advocacy.
