Watch a Clip From Eddie Huang's TV Show Cheap Bites

New, 11 comments

Here's a clip from chef and troublemaker Eddie Huang's Cheap Bites, his hour-long special that aired Sunday night on the Cooking Channel. Eddie visits the Crocodile Lounge in NYC, Gibson's Donuts and Soul Burger in Memphis, the food carts in Portland, and Betty Davis Grocery in Mississippi with his "favorite white guy besides Harry Potter," writer John T. Edge.

In the clip below, Eddie goes fishing in the Hamptons with his adorable outspoken mom. Says Eddie: "My mom's along for the ride. Not because she'd provide support on the mission. I just thought she'd be good on TV." Then they take the black sea bass they caught to Wok and Roll in Montauk, and Eddie gets the Chinese chef to explain his techniques. Tweeted Anthony Bourdain: "@MrEddieHuang becomes the new viper in Cooking Channel's bedding. Mayhem To ensue." Watch:
