The (now former) pastry chef of three Michelin-starred New York restaurant Jean Georges/Top Chef Just Desserts judge/biker baker Johnny Iuzzini has signed a deal to write an as-yet untitled desserts cookbook. This is Iuzzini's second cookbook — the first being a collection of dessert quartets called Dessert FourPlay — and it will "illustrate how to take basic recipes to turn them into simple but impressive desserts." So this book will be simpler than the first? But still impressive? No word on when the new book comes out, but when it does it will be published by Clarkson Potter and co-written with food writer Wes Martin.
