Here's a video from the Wendy Williams Show in which host Wendy Williams got rogue competitive eater Takeru Kobayashi to set the world record for the most Twinkies eaten in one minute. He ate fourteen. If the Twinkie is truly endangered, why have someone eat so many of them so quickly?
Backstory: Wendy Williams is all upset because the maker of Twinkies, Hostess Brands, recently filed for bankruptcy. And she has leveraged her vast media prowess to save what she calls one of "our greatest national icons," which of course means putting up a video on YouTube and starting a Facebook campaign to "Save the Twinkie" (with a whopping 14,000 members).
Important question corner: Kobayashi once ate 16 bananas in one minute — wouldn't Twinkies be easier to eat? Is Kobayashi getting soft in his old age?
