Sergi Arola, the two Michelin-star chef who trained under Ferran Adrià and Pierre Gagnaire before making a name for himself at the erstwhile La Broche, will open a restaurant at the forthcoming W Paris - Opéra. According to multiple reports, the chef intends to make the restaurant similar to his Barcelona project Arola, which has a lively atmosphere and focuses on progressive tapas; the average per person price will be 70 Euro, less than at his degustation-heavy Madrid flagship. It's projected to open on February 14th.
Arola now boasts restaurants in Spain, Chile, Portugal, and France. Next year, he'll again be collaborating with W Hotels on a restaurant in Verbier, Switzerland.
