It's off to the mall for Jonathan Gold, who reviews the food court at Westfield Culver City. There's a Five Guys, "probably as good as it gets in those parts of the country deprived of In-N-Out," and a convenient, if slightly less tasty, branch of Korean chicken favorite Kyochon. Gold adds that it "feels almost illegal" to eat 101 Noodle Express' Shandong-style roll within sight of a Panda Express. Chicago's Slurping Turtle gets yet more critical treatment, wherein Mike Sula at the Reader loves the tan tan men and finds "drinking food at (mostly) comfortable pricing." In Washington, D.C., Tom Sietsema finds "the most exuberant Thai cooking I've encountered on the East Coast" at Little Serow.
