Sam Calagione Defends Growing Breweries

Sam-Calagione-brew-masters-150.jpgDogfish Head Brewery founder and president Sam Calagione pipes up in a Beer Advocate forum to lament all the negativity toward "breweries that dare to grow." You know, such as his own. Calagione writes, "It's like that old joke: 'Nobody eats at that restaurant anymore, it's too crowded.' Except the 'restaurants' that people shit on here aren't exactly juggernauts. In fact, aside from Boston Beer, none of them have anything even close to half of one percent marketshare." [BA]
