Let Washington, DC's Florida Avenue Grill serve as warning about what can happen when you offer promotions through deal sites: This past weekend was the last chance to use their LivingSocial deal, and it was a shitshow. A regular of 25 years filed a complaint on the restaurant's Facebook page: "At 6pm on a Saturday evening I find it odd that there were no salmon cakes, no BBQ short ribs, no liver & onions, no cabbage and most importantly, no cornbread. No cornbread!?!?" The restaurant apologized, chalking it up to the "thousands of people" that cashed in at the last minute. [Facebook via Eater DC]
