Last night Portland chef Andy Ricker of Pok Pok fame (who won the Beard Award for Best Chef Northwest 2011) opened his first NYC restaurant, Pok Pok Wing. The small space doesn't yet have booze or gas, but early reports indicate the wings he's cooking up on electric stoves are just as addictive. Pok Pok is such a fixture in Portland that the IFC show Portlandia uses them in gags now. [Eater NY]
