Zagat vs Chowhound vs Yelp vs Citysearch

goldmanchow.jpgJane Goldman, editor in chief of Chow, in light of Google buying Zagat, compares the different restaurant review sites: "Zagat's too middle-brow; Yelp's too ignorant; Citysearch is too impressionable; and local reviewers are mostly jaded, novelty-hungry, and cliquish. Of course I'm biased, but I like Chowhound... I always end up cross-referencing, a little from here, a little from there. If only there were a site that could scour the Web and take all the information from everybody and present it in a nice little list. Like a search result. That would be great." [Chow]
