Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz emailed customers and took out full-page ads in newspapers with a letter "urging the President and the Congress to put an end to partisan gridlock." To that aim, he has set up an online petition in which businesses can "pledge" to withhold campaign contributions and to do "everything possible" to accelerate job creation.
