Two Guys Dine Out With Friend's Corpse, Credit Cards

Yes, this is a real story. Prosecutors say that two men drove a friend's corpse around Denver for a Weekend at Bernies-style night on the town, using the deceased's ATM card. The victim, Jeffrey Jarrett, funded a night of drinking, eating and yes, even a strip club.

According to court documents, one of the accused men arrived at Jarrett's home one night to find him "unresponsive." Rather than call 911 or, you know, try to revive Jarrett, he grabbed a friend, loaded the dead body into his SUV, and it "remained in the backseat while the pair drank on his tab." The night also involved some Mexican food at local restaurant Viva Burrito and a $400 trip to a strip club called Shotgun Willie's.

The cause of Jarrett's death is not yet clear; the two men face charges of abusing a corpse, identity theft, and criminal impersonation.
