Now Casting: Bravo's Around the World in 80 Plates

Earlier this week Bravo announced a new cooking show called Around the World in 80 Plates (working title) that has chefs compete in "world-renowned restaurants around the globe." And now they're casting for the show. And better hurry up potential cheftestapants, because the mail-in deadline is next week: Thursday, August 11.

Bravo is also doing an open call in New York City (at Shang, Thursday, August 11, 10am - 2pm) and Chicago (at Vertigo Sky Lounge, Thursday, August 11, 10am - 2pm). What, don't you want to "travel to a different international city" and "learn the local customs, cultures and cuisines" and "participate in a gauntlet of culinary challenges"? Bravo Accepts Submissions for New Chef Series

MAGICAL ELVES, THE PRODUCERS OF BRAVO’S EMMY AWARD-WINNING HIT TOP CHEF, IS NOW CASTING PROFESSIONAL CHEFS; ONE WEEK LEFT TO SUBMIT FOR CONSIDERATION; OPEN CALLS IN NEW YORK AND CHICAGO, THURSDAY, AUGUST 11, 2011.

Around the World in 80 Plates (working title), a culinary competition following chefs as they compete in world-renowned restaurants around the globe, details of which were announced yesterday by Bravo at this year’s TCA’s in Beverly Hills, CA [link?], is still casting for chefs around the country in the coming next week. Casting open calls are being held in Chicago and New York on Thursday, August 11, from 10am to 2pm (location details below). Mail-in submissions are also being accepted, the deadline for receipt of mail-in submissions is in one week, on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at midnight ET**.

Casting is seeking professional chefs of all levels, who have a lifelong love affair with food, a competitive nature, a passion for creating visually impressive dishes, and a desire for adventure.

If candidates are unable to attend one of the two remaining open calls (see full info on Chicago and New York open calls below), they should mail completed application and all additional material to the address found on page two of the casting application, downloadable at www.BravoTV.com/casting.
