Gastroburglars that have been stealing from restaurants like Arzak and Martín Berasategui continue their tear: over the weekend they broke into the asador Kattalin in Beasain and stole 500 Euro from its cash register.
As the restaurant's owner Juan Manuel Garmendia describes it, the robbery took place around 3:30 in the morning on Sunday, when the burglars broke a window directly in front of the cash register.
Since an alarm quickly went off, they only managed to grab the money. Garmendia and his family, who live above the establishment, heard some noise but didn't notice anything particularly odd. This is the second time the restaurant has been robbed in the last nine months.
Sunday's robbery brings the total of restaurants hit to nine, though ABC keenly points out that "just as many if not more" restaurants have been burglarized but have chosen to remain anonymous. Though likely, it remains unconfirmed that the same people are behind all of the crimes.
