Bon Appétit's restaurant editor Andrew Knowlton drops a big listicle today for the upcoming September issue: The Best New Restaurants in America in 2011. Knowlton writes: "Over the past 12 months, I've spent something like 250 nights eating out, sometimes with my family, sometimes with friends and colleagues, and often on the road by myself, fork in one hand, local newspaper in the other."
Making the list for 2011: The soon-to-close haute diner M. Wells in Long Island City, NYC; Sean Brock's restaurant Husk in Charleston, SC; Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo's Son of a Gun in LA; Mission Chinese Food in San Francisco; and Congress in Austin, TX. Here's the full list:
