Following up on the news that British chef Heston Blumenthal left his wife for the American cookbook temptress Suzanne Pirret — UK journalists are scrambling as there's not that much info about her out there. First, the Telegraph's Xanthe Clay has a sort of profile on Pirret. Turns out her cookbook was not much of a success, "selling less than 200 copies in its first year." Secondly, Jan Moir writes a piece for the Daily Mail asking, "why can't chefs keep their hands off the saucepots?" [Telegraph, Daily Mail]
