Major LA hospitality group SBE is investing in a nationwide expansion of local favorite Umami Burger and its sibling concepts, UMAMIcatessen, Red Medicine, and 800°. Umami creator Adam Fleischman will retain control, both creative and official, of Umami Restaurant Group. Rumor has it, this alliance will produce 12 new locations per year. [Eater LA]
