Colbert Objects to MyPlate: 'Americans Don't Use Plates!'

Stephen Colbert took on MyPlate, the USDA's new symbol that has replaced the food pyramid, which he calls his "favorite Egyptian mortuary-based nutritional diagram." Colbert is confused by the choice of a plate for the symbol: "A plate? For Food? What's the connection? Americans don't use plates anymore. Our food comes from cases, bags, cans, tubes, and envelopes made of themselves." Here's the video:
