Consumer Reports: Everyone Officially Loves In-N-Out

A broad, new Consumer Reports survey contains good news for America's "less-ubiquitous fast-food restaurants." Joyful sob-inducing In-N-Out rated the highest of the 53 chains in the survey. Outside the burger realm, Chick-fil-A, Chipotle and Papa Murphy's Take 'N' Bake Pizza were also tops in their categories.

Despite all the effort the big fast food chains put into goofy marketing efforts and pretending to be Starbucks, the survey didn't contain much good news for McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell and KFC. These four scored low marks thanks to "uninspiring food," as well as "so-so service." Fry-wise, two "sensory experts" sampled numerous restaurants' offerings and gave Wendy's a slight edge over McDonald's.
