Yesterday the USDA unveiled the food pyramid replacement MyPlate, and now the reactions are streaming in. Nutritionist Marion Nestle thinks it's "good" and journalist Jane Black writes that "For public health advocates, the government’s new campaign is a victory." So hooray!

The Taiwanese animators at NMA took a different approach, however, imagining First Lady Michelle Obama as a caped super hero — not the first time — who cowers to the Dairy Lobby. NMA offers up a Real America MyPlate, which includes ketchup as the fruit, french fries as the vegetable, a doughnut as the grain, fried chicken as the protein, and ice cream as the dairy. Sound about right.

Ruth Bourdain went all-meat with his/her MyPlate, opting for diet consisting of lamb, beef, pork, and duck, with a glass of wine. Not bourbon? Here's the NMA video:
