Female Hot Dog Eaters Denied Moment of TV Glory

When will the injustice end? It looks like ESPN may not be broadcasting the women's finals of this year's Nathan's Famous hot dog-eating contest — only the men's. The schedule for the July 4th showdown at Coney Island lists the women's finals as happening at 11:30 a.m., but the broadcast begins at noon.

This year is the first time women will compete in their own separate division; organizers originally offered a prize much less than the men's purse, but later increased it so the two are equal. Any female eaters too offended to participate could join this guy in going rogue.
