McDonald's is launching a giant ad campaign in Australia to apologize for how bad its coffee tastes. The chain's largest Australian ad campaign in two years kicks off Sunday with a TV, radio, newspaper and social media blitz assuring the nation that the coffee will, in fact, get better.
The chief operating officer of McDonald's, or Maccas if you're an Aussie, told The Australian newspaper, "We are the largest coffee chain in Australia, but we know we are not the most loved." This is a bit of a reversal from last year's Australian ad campaign, which featured random people on the street doing blind taste tests and proclaiming McDonald's their favorite.
