Menu-to-English Translations

Foodict_Logo.jpgA visit to San Francisco's Delfina prompts New York Times tech writer David Pogue to wonder, are there any smart phone apps to help translate fancy menu descriptions? He runs some of Delfina's Italian offerings like "zabaglione," "brodo," and "stracotto" through a few different apps, deeming one better than the others, but none very impressive. He finds it "incredible that nobody can come up with a more complete food-to-English dictionary." App developers, get cracking. [NYT]
