Last night the James Beard Foundation announced the winners of the 2011 James Beard Foundation Book, Broadcast & Journalism Awards. Congratulations all around!
Winners include René Redzepi's Noma cookbook (twice: once for "Cooking from a Professional Point of View" and then again for Photography); Amanda Hesser's The Essential New York Times Cook Book (General Cooking); Top Chef season seven (for Television Program, In Studio or Fixed Location); 60 Minutes for its profile of José Andrés (Television Segment); and the San Francisco Chronicle (for Food Section). Also, Ruth Bourdain won in the Humor category.
