José Andrés Closing Cafe Atlantico For American Pop-Up

Fresh off a Beard Award win, José Andrés has announced he's closing his DC restaurant Cafe Atlantico in order to make way for a pop-up called America Eats Tavern.

The restaurant is a partnership with a National Archives exhibit called "What's Cooking, Uncle Sam? The Government's Effect on the American Diet," and will serve classic American dishes "from burgoo to oysters Rockefeller." It will open, appropriately, on the Fourth of July and will be open for six months. Head over to Eater DC for more details.
