Two days ago Alton Brown tweeted: "G.E. fans, I've decided to cut the half hour series at 249 eps. There will be 3 new 1 hour eps this year and that's it. But mourn not." (The tweet was deleted but it still shows up on Twitter's search.) Brown is still involved with the Food Network, however. Back in March he signed a new three-year deal with the network that keeps him on Next Iron Chef, Iron Chef America, as well as "three one-hour themed Good Eats specials tied to Thanksgiving."
