The New York Times takes a look at the list of 350ish errors found in the first printing of Nathan Myhrvold's Modernist Cuisine, and talks to the man responsible for finding many of them: retired medical imaging equipment technician Larry Lofthouse. Lofthouse said, "Since I was going to read it anyway, I’d take that on as a project." Sure, why not! Myhrvold treated him and his wife to dinner for his troubles. [NYT]
