Here are photographs of dishes from Ferran Adrià's restaurant elBulli by Francesc Guillamet — they're part of the exhibit "The Art Of Eating: From Still Life To Ferran Adrià" at the CatalunyaCaixa's CX La Pedrera in Barcelona. The show, running through June 26, explores the "wide-ranging vision of the close and productive relationship between art and food over the centuries, from the origins and consolidation of the genre of still life in the 17th century to the present day."
According to his pressbook, Guillamet has "photographed all of the works appearing in elBulli's menus since 1987" and is apparently the only person allowed to photograph Adrià's dishes. He also regularly works for other Spanish chefs including Joan Roca, Carme Ruscadella, and Paco Torreblanca.
Wrote Adrià in Comer Arte, "Francesc Guillamet has proven his ability to adapt his lens to the new propositions that we elaborate each year and it is quite possible that we ourselves had not considered our work in the same way, if we had not become accustomed to seeing through his eyes."
