It seems law firm Beasley Allen has caused enough trouble and is dropping their lawsuit against Taco Bell that claimed the fast food chain's taco meat filling only contained 36% beef.
Beasley Allen said the goal of the lawsuit was for "Taco Bell [to] make certain changes regarding disclosure and marketing of its 'seasoned beef' product." Since the suit was filed, Taco Bell has spent between $3 and $4 million convincing the public that their taco filling actually contains 88% beef. The company even gave away 10 million free tacos. Well, that's a relief? Anyway, that seems to be good enough for the law firm, and thus the suit has been dropped.
