The Wall Street Journal has an account of this past Sunday's packed Citymeals-on-Wheels fundraiser at Daniel in NYC, which ran about $25,000 per table for ten and raised $700,000. Bloomberg was there, as was Drew Nieporent, Julian Niccolini, Charlie Rose, and swaths of wealthy philanthropists. They went through 13 pounds of black truffles. [WSJ via Eater NY]
