Over half of Olive Garden's 700 restaurants are getting a makeover "inspired by the timeless warmth of farmhouses in Tuscany, Italy." Because nothing says Tuscan farmhouse like a chain restaurant in the parking lot of a suburban mall? Anyway, this means a few things: Columns, lots of wood, painted pottery. and cypress trees. We're sure the updates will make Olive Garden's diners feel they're in "true, Tuscan-inspired spaces." As for the half not getting makeovers, they'll just have to settle for being regular old and busted fake-Italian, we guess.
