News broke this morning that Anheuser-Busch InBev bought Chicago's biggest brewer Goose Island for $38.8 million. In addition to the behemoth taking over, owner and longtime brewmaster Greg Hall will be stepping down, being replaced by Brett Porter, formerly with Deschutes Brewery in Oregon. Hall will act as a consultant for the company for the time being. He'll then likely pop open a beer and kick it for a while. [CBB via Eater Chicago]
