Michelle Obama Writing A Gardening and Healthy Food Book

The First Lady is writing a book! Michelle Obama signed a deal with the Crown Publishing Group to write a book on the White House Garden and healthy eating. There will be a hardcover book with illustrations and two e-books, one with "enhanced multimedia." All the proceeds from the book will be donated to charity.

It will also have "some of [the Obamas'] favorite healthy recipes." So it's kind of a cookbook? The publishers describe the book as "inspirational and instructive, and [it] will provide ideas and resources for readers to get involved in the movement." The as-yet untitled book comes out in April of 2012; Obama has already begun writing it and plans to include the President in the process.
