Nobody likes goodbyes, but here we go: Joshua David Stein, Eater National's Senior Editor, is moving on to Departures magazine to be the Senior Travel Editor. During his tenure at Eater, he ran the excellent Eaterrogation, interviewing the likes of Nigella Lawson, Ferran Adrià, René Redzepi, and Anthony Bourdain. We are sad to see Josh leave, but we take solace in the fact that he has not ended up on the street, doing unsavory and possibly illegal things to survive.
Which means: There's a job opportunity here in Eaterland! Intrigued? Read on.
This Senior Editor position is for an experienced food writer and is a freelance gig with commensurate pay. Writers based in New York are preferred, but compelling arguments for alternate cities will be entertained. If you think you fit the bill, drop an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with a brief description about yourself, a paragraph or two about why you're interested in the job, and links to some of your strongest pieces. If you've got a blog, please include a link to that as well. No resumes, please. If we like what we see, we'll be in touch quickly. Thanks. And away we go.
