Heston Blumenthal's new restaurant Dinner at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in London opened on January 31, and the Guardian has already reviewed it, calling the food "nothing short of astonishing."
Meanwhile, the Guardian's Tony Naylor went on a tour of the restaurant and spoke with Blumenthal and head chef Ashley Palmer-Watts. Naylor also got to sample some dishes, including a pigeon cooked in ale and a dish called "Meat Fruit," which is a dish that looks like an orange but is in fact chicken liver pate coated in a mandarin jelly.
