On February 14, 2007, Stephen Colbert introduced his Ben & Jerry's "Americone Dream" ice cream flavor — which is vanilla with pieces of fudge-covered waffle cone and a caramel swirl — "forever changing how Americans eat themselves into a shame spiral." Four years later, it's now available at all of the brand's ice cream shops and today, February 15, Ben & Jerry's is offering two scoops of the flavor for the price of one.
Not only that, but for the next year all of Colbert's proceeds off the ice cream's shop sales will go to the Yellow Ribbon Fund, which helps out injured service members and their families. So go on, eat up; after all, as Colbert says, it's "a great way to make me look like I'm giving money." Check out the video of the announcement below.
