Because they're already on every street corner, in grocery stores, at sea, and in Guantanamo Bay, Starbucks is moving into the next logical place where people want coffee: hotel rooms.
The coffee chain has signed a deal with Courtesy Products, a company which makes products for major hotel chains like Marriott, including a single-serving coffee machine. Starbucks is developing coffee pods for use in the machine that will be available this fall; the deal could bring the instant coffee into 500,000 hotel rooms across the country. Soon there will be no place where you can't get Starbucks.
