This week — that is, from January 31 to February 7 — some people in Washington, DC are eating lots of meat. Next week — February 7 through 14 — others aren't eating any meat at all. That's right: it's time for Meat Week and Meat Free Week in our nation's capital. (It's actually Meat Week other places as well, but DC's the only place we know of with a competing Meat Free Week.) This is the second year the two weeks have gone up against each other, with events and tons of appreciation for reveling in/shunning meat. So, if you live in the area, check out the schedule and get your meat on. Or don't.
