Fried Foods Wire

scottish-deep-fried-butter-200.jpgSeems the Scots are catching up with the grand American state fair tradition of deep frying gobs of butter: The Fiddler's Elbow restaurant in Picardy Place is serving Braveheart Butter Bombs, which the chef says some people are calling "a heart attack on a plate." The restaurant says the goal of serving the dish is to "help cheer people up in a time of gloom." [BBC]
