Beach Boys to Open a Vegas 'Surf Fusion' Restaurant

What rock-n-rollers of yore are opening a restaurant in a Las Vegas casino now? The Beach Boys. The Beach Boys Good Vibration Restaurant is expected to open in Bally's in the summer of 2012, which is, coincidentally, the iconic surf band's 50th anniversary. The band joins several other musical groups, including Kiss and Lynyrd Skynyrd, to open restaurants in Vegas.

If you're expecting your Grandpa's surf shack cuisine with beachy music on loop, that's not quite what the restaurant has in mind: the operations manager tells VegasInc, "We're bringing in a new cutting edge. It's more like surf fusion...It's going to be about what's happening in Huntington Beach, Hawaii, Australia, South Africa. It's about cars, surf, women, the lifestyle." Well, that clears it up.

Also, "the casual-dining restaurant will feature a diverse menu and bar with affordable prices." Presumably surrounded by lots and lots of Beach Boys memorabilia.
