Here's DC chef José Andrés talking about his work for the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, which aims to create "a thriving global market for clean and efficient household cooking solutions." In this case, he's specifically talking about cooking conditions in Haiti and Clean Cookstoves' efforts to help people there develop safer, more efficient cooking systems.
Andrés says, "While us, here in America, are doing every Sunday the simple piece of meat cooking over charcoal — something of pleasure, to show our power, that we can cook as men — for people in other parts of the world, for them to find that charcoal, they must put their lives in danger."
