Starbucks Closing Bathrooms, Could Give a Crap

Coffee and Sarah McLachlan-CD peddler Starbucks is slowly but surely abandoning their coffee-filled customers' need to pee and declaring some restrooms in their New York shops off-limits. Is it to fight the swarming pervs with secret bathroom cameras? Or a part of the ongoing war against laptop squatters? No, it's because employees have to wait for "customers filled with Pumpkin Spice Latte and other trendy drinks" when they need to use the restroom.

A source tells the New York Post that while employee-only bathrooms are not policy, "Starbucks cannot be the public bathroom in the city anymore." First they cover the outlets, now this? Why even bother having tables anymore? Is this not part of the social contract? Also, if you're from out of town, forget about it: the same source says, "If you are a tourist, you will not know which Starbucks has a bathroom." That's it, the holidays are ruined.
