On Last Meals

prison-cook-brian-price-150.jpgFormer Texas prison cook Brian D. Price on serving last meals to death row inmates: "They are served two hours before they are executed and it is no longer a burger and fries or a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich or whatever they requested. All it is, two hours later, is stomach content on an autopsy report." The State of Texas ended the tradition of grant last meal requests last month. [NYT]
