With Good Eats wrapped and his new book out, TV personality/curmudgeon Alton Brown stopped by Google HQ to care, share, and answer questions from adoring audience members. Brown said he was happy to "scoop dirt on Food Network people," but unfortunately he lives in Atlanta and doesn't have any.
Highlights include the omnipresent Food Network star talking fluffy rice and explaining his neckwear preferences: "I like bow ties because you don't get tangled up in them. I'm a man of action." He also pondered his longevity in the biz: "I'll have really hot college girls come up to me to sign books, and they'll say 'yeah, I've been watching you since I was a little girl this tall.'" Hopefully no Google employees tried to hug him after the event. Here's the (59-minute) video.
