Andy Ricker's Pok Pok Headed to NYC

Chef Eddie Huang breaks the news that Portland chef Andy Ricker of Pok Pok fame (who won the Beard Award for Best Chef Northwest 2011) is bringing his infamous chicken wings to New York City. Ricker will be taking over Huang's original (and tiny) Baohaus space that was recently shuttered a couple of weeks ago. Wrote Huang: "[H]e told me he was looking for a spot that size to do a wing shack. I made him an offer, we shook hands, and within three weeks, all you gonna hear is bitches screamin' 2 Pok." Expect long lines and delicious wings.

Update: Andy Ricker tells Eater it'll be "a wing joint with papaya salad made to order and sticky rice, a few specials and the drinking vinegars. No opening date as of yet but before the new year."
