The drugstore chain Walgreens has launched a store-brand beer called Big Flats 1901 which will cost you a mere $2.99 per six pack. That's right: fifty cents a beer. Big Flats is made by the folks who make some of the private label alcohols for Costco and Trader Joe's. It has the slogan of "It's the water that makes it" — because at that price, there can't be much else in there. Since 7-Eleven has an award-winning beer, Walgreens figured it can't be that hard?
