Want to see a 3D food printer in action? CNN visited the French Culinary Institute and watched one that printed chocolate onto a pastry as well as a masa square that was then steamed and fried. One of the developers of the machine, a grad student working on Cornell University's fab@home project, mentioned that while they're initially aiming for a $1000 price point, they eventually hope to get it down to $700.
