Matt and Ted Lee — AKA the Lee Brothers — have signed a two-book deal with Clarkson Potter to follow up their previous books, The Lee Bros. Southern Cookbook (which won a Beard award) and The Lee Bros. Simple Fresh Southern. One of the new books will be "a first-person perspective on the world of food," and is as yet untitled.
The other book, The Lee Bros. Charleston Kitchen, will be "a definitive guide to the city and its cuisine." Hey, wait a second: isn't Charleston chef Sean Brock also working on an intense Charleston/Lowcountry cookbook, but for Artisan? We smell a South Carolinian cookbook smackdown brewing!
